Quit Smoking NOW The government of India on Tuesday announced that smoking would be banned in all public places from October two, The birthday of Mahatma Gandhi. Father of the nationThe ban would include hotels, restaurants and offices, Union Health Minister Anbumani Ramadoss said in New Delhi If someone is caught smoking, then a fine of Rs 200 ($5/-)would be imposed on that person in accordance with the National Tobacco Control Act. “Though in the beginning, the fine would be only Rs 200, we will try to amend the act in the future, after which the fine can be increased to Rs 1,000 (USD $50/-)and the employer can also be fined if somebody is found smoking within the office premises,” Ramadoss said, inaugurating a tobacco workshop in New Delhi. Apart from this, the minister said the Government has also issued notifications to make pictorial warnings compulsory on all tobacco products from December one. To begin with, the pictorial warnings would be those cleared by the Group of Ministers and would cover 40 per cent of the product covers, but after around one year, more pictures can be brought in, he said. The Government is also making the fight against tobacco an integral part of the school health programme. “According to a WHO study, around 14.1 per cent of school going children are using some or the other form of tobacco, which is very worrisome,” Ramadoss said. એક વખત એક મુસાફર જંગલમાંથી પસાર થઈ રહ્યો હતો અને ત્રણ ડાકુઓએ તેનાં પર લૂંટવાનાં આશયથી હુમલો કર્યો. તેને મારી મારીને અધમુવો કરી નાખ્યો અને લૂં્ટી લીધો. પછી એક ડાકુ કહે, આને મારી નાખો. આનું હવે કંઈ કામ નથી. આમ બોલી તેણે તલવાર કાઢી. બીજો કહે, શી જરુર છે ખૂન કરવાની? તેને બાંધી દો. આમ કહીને એણે તેનાં હાથ અને પગ બાંધીને તેને ઝાડ સાથે બાં્ધી દીધો. ત્રણે ડાકુઓ ચાલ્યા ગયાં. થોડીવારે ત્રીજો ડાકુ પાછો આવ્યો અને પેલાને છોડીને તેનો હાથ પકડીને તેને જંગલની બહાર નીકળવાનો રસ્તો બતાવ્યો. પેલો માણસતો ભાવવિભોર થઈ ગયો અને ડાકુને પોતાને ઘેર આવવાનું આમં્ત્રણ આપ્યું. ડાકુ હસીને કહે, ભાઈ, તું જા. હું જો જંગલની બહાર નિકળીશતો પોલીસ મને પકડી લેશે.
આ મુસાફર તે આપણે. ત્રણ ડાકુઓ તે તમસ, રજસ અને સત્વ. તમસ તમને મારી નાખશે. જ્યારે રજસ તમને સંસાર સાથે બાંધી દેશે. સત્વ તમારી આં્ગળી પકડીને પરમાત્માનો રસ્તો બતાવશે, પણ પોતે સાથે નહી આવે. પરમાત્માનેતો તમારેજ પ્રાપ્ત કરવા પડશે.

તરણાં ઓથે ડુંગર રે, ડુંગર કોઇ દેખે નહીં;
અજાજૂથ માંહે રે, સમરથ કોઈ પેખે નહી … ટેક

સિંહ અજામાં કરે ગર્જના, કસ્તુરી મૃગરાજન;
તલની ઓથે જેમ તેલ રહ્યું છે, કાષ્ઠમાં હુતાશન;
દધિ ઓથે ધૃતજ રે, વસ્તુ એમ છૂપી રહી … તરણાં

કોને કહું ને કોણ સાંભળશે અગમ ખેલ અપાર;
અગમ કેરી ગમ નહિ રે, વાણી ન પહોંચે વિસ્તાર;
એક દેશ એવો રે, બુદ્ધિ થાકી રહે તહા … તરણાં

મન પવનની ગતિ ન પહોંચે, છે અવિનાશી અખંડ;
રહ્યો સચરાચર ભર્યો બ્રહ્મ પુરાણ, તેણે રચ્યાં બ્રહ્માંડ;
ઠામ નહિ કો ઠાલો રે, એક અણુમાત્ર કહાં … તરણાં

સદગુરુજીએ કૃપા કરી ત્યારે, આપ થયા પ્રકાશ;
શાં શાં દોડી સાધન સાધે, પોતે પોતાની પાસ;
દાસ ધીરો કહે છે રે, જ્યાં જોઉં ત્યાં તું હી તું હી … તરણાં

જળકમળ છાંડી જાને બાળા, સ્વામી અમારો જાગશે
જાગશે તને મારશે મને બાળ હત્યા લાગશે … 1

કહે રે બાળક તું મારગ ભૂલ્યો, કે તારા વેરીએ વળાવીઓ
નિશ્ચલ તારો કાળ ખૂટ્યો, અહીંયા તે શીદ આવીઓ … 2

નથી નાગણ હું મારગ ભૂલ્યો, નથી મારા વેરીએ વળાવીઓ,
મથુરા નગરીમાં જુગટુ રમતાં નાગનું શીશ હું હારીઓ … 3

રંગે રૂડો રૂપે પુરો દિસંત કોડિલો કોડામણો,
તારી માતાએ કેટલા જનમ્યાં તેમાં તું અળખામણો … 4

મારી માતાએ બે જનમ્યાં તેમાં હું નટવર નાનેલો
જગાડ તારા નાગને મારું નામ કૃષ્ણ કાનુડો … 5

લાખ સવાનો મારો હાર આપું, આફું તુજને દોરીઓ,
એટલું મારા નાગથી છાનું આપું તુજને ચોરીઓ … 6

શું કરું નાગણ હાર તારો, શું કરું તારો દોરીઓ,
શાને કાજે નાગણ તારે કરવી ઘરમાં ચોરીઓ …7

ચરણ ચાંપી મૂછ મરડી, નાગણે નાગ જગાડિયો,
ઉઠોને બળવંત કોઇ, બારણે બાળક આવીયો … 8

બેઉ બળિયા બાથે વળગ્યાં, કૃષ્ણે કાળીનાગ નાથિયો,
સહસ્ત્ર ફેણ ફુંફવે, જેમ ગગન ગાજે હાથિયો … 9

નાગણ સૌ વિલાપ કરે જે, નાગને બહું  દુ:ખ આપશે
મથુરાનગરીમાં લઇ જશે, પછી નાગનું શીશ કાપશે … 10

બેઉ કર જોડી વિનવે સ્વામી ! મુકો અમારા કંથને,
અમે અપરાધી કાંઇ ન સમજ્યાં, ન ઓળખ્યાં ભગવંતને … 11

થાળ ભરીને નાગણી સર્વે મોતીડે, શ્રીકૃષ્ણ વધાવિયો,
નરસૈંયાના નાથ પાસેથી, નાગણે નાગ છોડાવીયો … 12

એક જ દે ચિનગારી, મહાનલ !
એક જ દે ચિનગારી.

ચકમક લોઢું ઘસતાં ઘસતાં ખરચી જિંદગી સારી
જામગરીમાં તણખો ન પડ્યો, ન ફળી મહેનત મારી
મહાનલ… એક દે ચિનગારી…

ચાંદો સળગ્યો, સૂરજ સળગ્યો, સળગી આભઅટારી
ના સળગી એક સગડી મારી, વાત વિપતની ભારી
મહાનલ… એક દે ચિનગારી…

ઠંડીમાં મુજ કાયા થથરે, ખૂટી ધીરજ મારી
વિશ્વાનલ ! હું અધિક ન માગું, માગું એક ચિનગારી
મહાનલ… એક દે ચિનગારી…
