I wonder, why all politicians, in general, accuse, abuse, and blame the Capitalism; when it is the Capitalism which proclaims that every individual is sovereign. The Man is an end in himself, and he is not a slave to the ends of the “society”. What John Galt said “I swear — by my life and by my love of it — that I will never live for the sake of another man, and never ask another man to live for my sake.

Such is a rational Man, or the independent mind, it recognizes no authority higher than his own judgment of the truth. He recognizes that man’s life is the standard of value — that which supports man’s life is the good, and that which destroys his life is the evil.

Capitalism does not oppose you living in a society, Capitalism opposes you living in a society as a slave. Capitalism does not create any slaves, it is the communism which creates a society of slaves.

Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of our nation, was very clear in his mind on this subject. He said, I quote: “Capital is lifeless, but not the capitalists who are amenable to conversion. I do not regard capital to be enemy of labor”

However, it is a fashion amongst the so called socialists and communists and leftists and left leaning-right thinking politicians to consider the capitalist as enemy of the labor class, They accuse the capitalist in front of the poor people and then go to the same capitalist for their election fund to get the vote of the poor people and they remain in power with the money of the capitalist.

This is not the true character of a politician. Gandhi, again was very clear on Character, he had addressed to all the politicians, I quote “Your character must be above suspicion, and you must be truthful and self-controlled. The truest test test of civilization, culture and dignity is character and not clothing. A language is an exact reflection of the character and growth of its speaker. Men of stainless character will easily inspire confidence and automatically purify the atmosphere around him. The real property that a parent can transmit to all equally is his or her character and educational facilities, All your scholarship would be in vain if at the same time you do not build your character and attain mastery over your thoughts and your actions.

Gandhiji never saw capitalism as an enemy of human society, but he kept the needs of the last man in society before him. inspiring the entrepreneurs of his time to put their money in the businesses which affects the last man in the society. Bajaj is still following that.

Do you know why Communism will never come to Gujarat? as Ramchandra Guha of The Telegraph puts it, “Gujarati economists place faith in the market, while Bengali economists are prone to trust the state.”  and ultimately it is economists who creates the better future for the nation and not the by the historians. People are not fools, they understand who gives them their daily bread. You can not remind them daily about their great past and past prosperity when their present is starving. Unfortunately, this is what is happening in states like Maharashtra and Rajasthan. an overdose of history may actually alienate the people from the politician and his party who tries to give it in a new wine bottle.

The need of the hour is to follow the views of the Father of the nation, who is sitting there smiling at you, on every currency note. The present rulers of India or any other  party who comes to power hereafter and in distant future, should ask themselves, are they truly following their Father, our Father of the nation or not? if not then they have no right to govern us. Those who do not follow the Gandhian economy (i.e. Free and fair economy and not the state owned businesses.) should never ever think of being in power in India, and should not be allowed to come to the power.

We do not need to import our political and economical policies from abroad, especially from across the border, our own Father has given us the legacy and shown us the way on which we should walk. If we follow it we stay afloat, otherwise we will be doomed.

Shall we go back to Gandhian Capitalism? or you may call it Gandhian Socialism, or shall we allow our politicians to import our policies, economic and ideology from the communist country across the border.
